As Little Pain: Balancing Joy, Growth, and Friendship

Our goal is to cause as little pain and as much pleasure as we can. This is because we are not in this solely for ourselves, we have one another to consider as well.

This is not that either of us are towers of virtue or because either of us are selfless. It’s simply because we care for one another. We want each to see the other as pleasing and a comfort to be around.

A ring of fire is surrounding you and I and that fiery ring is called living life. One foot in and one foot out because life burns. So, softening life bruises is our joint purpose, especially when it comes to our interactions with each other.

A little pain is good because that is a learning and growing experience. Yet, undo pain is inappropriate and unacceptable given our joint purposes for one another. Which is living our lives in friendship and love.

Too much pleasure is not good as well, because too much pleasure can become exhausting and mundane. Just the right touch is what you and I strive for in our personal relationship and with others.

We strive for as little pain as possible in our relationship. We also strive for even more joy in our lives. This we both can achieve as we have the inner tools to make that happen. And this will happen regardless of the momentary ups and downs we experience because we both want it.

Our intent is for a common purpose that will elevate and enhance both of us. We want to add a delightful fragrance to our relationship. We aim to gain more maturity about ourselves and the worlds which we inhabit. We are always looking ahead. We only look backwards when there is a lesson to learn from doing so.

Our goal is to enjoy one another, joy our lives, and to live. What else can we do and should do in the fleeting moments the universe is giving us?
